 Costs and Price Transparency Information

There are a number of method of funding your litigation

  • Privately Funded - Our usual hourly rates are £200 per hour plus VAT for a senior solicitor and £112 plus VAT for a paralegal . We believe that these rates are good value for money. As with all firms of solicitors,  there will also be expenses known as "disbursements". These are fees that we have to pay to others such as Photocopying costs, certain Postage costs and on occasion Barrister Fees. We would agree these fees with you in advance. We take into account that funding legal advice is not easy and if you notify us in advance that payment is an issue, we would consider payments in up to three instalments with post-dated cheques and we can accept payment by credit card.
  • Insurance Funded Matters - all clients whether business or individuals should check carefully if you have insurance which could fund your matter. Many individuals have legal expenses insurance without even realising it. Please check your Household Insurance Policy, your Motor Insurance policy, your Buildings & Contents insurance,  your bank account, your AA / RAC rescue cover and even your Pet insurance plans. Many of our clients are surprised to find that they have legal expenses insurance that they did not know about.  We can still represent you if your have insurance as long as you notify your insurer and we may have to agree to provide certain services to the insurer as well as acting for you

  • Trade unions,  Employer Associations or a membership association - if you are a member of a trade union such as the BMA, BOS, BDA, RCN, you should approach your union to see if they can obtain legal advice for you in the first instance.
